There are various methods of water disinfection and their selection and use will depend on the application. Commonly, we use one or a combination of the following:
OZONE
Ozone is a powerful, rapidly acting sanitiser. Applications using ozone are related to its strong oxidising potential, disinfection capabilities and ease of use.
PRIMARY APPLICATIONS
- Bottled Water
- Ice manufacturing
- CIP processes in pharma and cosmetic industries
- Iron and Manganese oxidisation
Our disinfection systems range from Ultraviolet light, Ozone generation and hot water disinfection for small or large distribution systems.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT SYSTEMS
For the past 100 years science has recognized the bactericide effects of the ultraviolet area of the electromagnetic spectrum. The specific wavelengths responsible for this reaction are situated between 240 – 280 nanometers.
PRIMARY APPLICATIONS
- Post RO or deionisation disinfection
- Disinfection of potable and non potable water supplies
Our Ultraviolet light systems use stainless steel chambers and can be equipped with standard power supplies, that provide hours run and lamp fail features to power supplied with PLC control for UV transmission monitoring and BMS outputs. Systems can be manufactured in a complete sanitary method with materials traceability.
CHLORINE DOSING SYSTEMS
Chlorine is one of the most common disinfectants used in water purification. It is relatively cheap and easy to use and monitor.
Proportional dosing pumps can be used to dose a variety of chemicals into water. These chemicals are mainly used for pH control and disinfection using liquid chlorine.
PRIMARY APPLICATIONS
- Drinking water disinfection
- Disinfection of water for poultry and stock watering
- Warm water system disinfection
- Oxidisation for iron and manganese
Our chlorine dosing systems can be pre plumbed and pre wired and back board mounted for ease of installation. These can include chlorine dosing pumps and they are also available with dual channel chlorine/pH complete with dosing pumps.
